A ouvrir uniquement entre 3 ou 4 ans aprés la mise en bouteilles. "

"Ah, Les Monts Damnés… Pour bien comprendre les vins et le style de François Cotat, il faut goûter aux vieux millésimes… Si vous avez un jour, la chance de venir avec moi au domaine, vous comprendrez. C'est arrivé à Pascal D qui a mis du temps à se remettre de ce moment. Goûtez un 2002, un 1998, un 1989... Là, vous saisissez l'immensité du terroir des Monts Damnés. Le vin gagne en gras d'une année sur l'autre, en puissance et en allonge. Les vins se teintent de miel, de truffe blanche, d'encaustique, de notes de vieilles chartreuses. Les marnes blanches habitent le vin, comme dans certains grands crus de Chablis ou dans des Charlemagne... Ça devient dingue, vraiment dingue. Mais avant : WARNING ! Je vous le dis et signe en dessous, les vins sont INTORDABLES ou alors, vous devez les ouvrir deux jours avant. Bref, ces Monts Damnés 2018, c'est un genre de Batard-Montrachet de Chavignol dont la puissance indomptable n'attend que l'oeuvre du temps. Cliquez et soyez patients, la récompense, je vous l'assure, est largement à la hauteur de l'abnégation !"

Decanter (Mai 2020) 94/100 "Always one of the bigger more powerful St Emilions, and this has plenty of estate signature. Excellent presence, it heads downwards, carving out a space for itself and settling in for the long haul. Clear oak character but not overdone, and has the glamour and sense of fun that I love about this property. Clear spice also, sage and rosemary alongside liquorice and black chocolate. This is well handled, definitely a bigger framed wine but delivered with confidence and appeal - you're going to want to try this. Tasted twice three weeks apart. 100% new oak. A yield of 44hl/ha. Every case sold this year will see one tree planted, with the hope of planting 10,000 trees."
James Suckling 95/100 "Belle clarté de baies rouges concassées avec des fleurs séchées et des pleurotes tranchés au nez. Corsé avec des couches de tanins mûrs et de fruits juteux. Le caractère chocolat et noix transparaît, ainsi que des notes de gousse de vanille. Magnifiquement organisé. 76% merlot, 20% cabernet franc et 4% cabernet sauvignon. Essayez après 2025."
La RVF (Septembre 2020) 94/100 "La matière est pointue, le volume intense, avec des notes salines. La bouche de ce 2019 offre des saveurs de fruits noirs. On savoure une chair dotée d’un joli croquant, qui a su demeurer généreuse et fraîche en finale. "
Vinous (Juin 2020) 95/100 "The 2019 Fleur Cardinale is ripe, bold and luscious, with striking depth and resonance. Inky dark fruit, graphite, lavender, spice, menthol and blueberry jam all race out of the glass. Even with all of its obvious intensity, the 2019 has terrific freshness and vibrancy. In 2019, the blend is 80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 4% Cabernet Sauvignon. Tasted two times. "
Jeb Dunnuc (Juin 2020) 95/100 "Stunning stuff, the 2019 Château Fleur Cardinale might be the finest vintage of this wine I've tasted. Deep purple-hued, with awesome notes of ripe red and black currants, tobacco, chocolate, and spring flowers, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, a plush, seamless texture, polished tannins, and a great finish. This is a killer 2019 that shows the class, balance, and purity of the vintage while backing it up with depth and richness. Tasted twice. "

Wine Enthousiast 96/100 "A mature Champagne from a great vintage year, this is concentrated. With toast over the white fruits and with minerality still very present, the wine is taut, textured, vibrant and ready to drink."
K&L Wines "Cinnamon and I enjoyed this Champagne with experimental arancini aux crabe; fried risotto balls that I made with crab meat. The pairing, and especially the Champagne, were a big success. This wine has a clear white gold color and a generous nose of tarte tatin pastry crust and crisp apple. The texture is exquisite, with a buoyant bead lifting the delicate wine and leaving one feeling lighter after every sip. The balance between toast and bright apple fruit is perfect and the finish adds a twist of chalk that really carries it. The rich arancini gave the wine something to cut and had real synergy with the wine. This dry but generous tête de cuvée is a huge treat."

Au nez, retrouvez des arômes briochés, puis les fruits cuits au four comme la pomme et la poire et la douce présence des fleurs blanches. La bouche est fidèle aux aromatiques du nez, ample et soyeuse avec une belle finale sapide."
Magnum de Vin "Pure, light and crystalline with subtle bronze tints and a delicate thread of bubbles. The seductive and expressive nose offers an explosion of ripe fruits and white flowers.
The wine is silky, delicate and direct on the palate, which is underpinned by an intense minerality. Complex array of flavours including quince, apricot and mirabelle plum set off by candied fruits and lavender honey.
This wine offers excellent cellaring potential and a pure reflection of the Deutz style."

Cave de Famille "Le millésime 2023 des Désirées signé Comtes Lafon met en avant une belle fraîcheur et une texture élégante, accompagnées de notes de fruits blancs et de citron mûr. Une cuvée équilibrée et précise, à la finale minérale persistante."
Decanter (11/2024) 93/100 "The lovely Meursault Desirée is a premier cru masquerading as a village-level wine; it shows rich aromas of melon and ripe apple with a hint of butter and a suggestion of acacia flowers. The texture is dense and rich, yet enough crisp acidity brings it into balance. The young vines here have not delivered the same concentration as the Clos de la Barre, yet it is perfect for current drinking or mid-term ageing."
Wine Advocate (01/2025) 90-92/100 "The 2023 Meursault Désirée is lovely, wafting from the glass with notes of orange oil, apple and citrus blossom and sweet stone fruits. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and layered, it's suave and sensual, with a fleshy core that segues into a long, elegantly chalky finish. The 2023 vintage is another success from Domaine des Comtes Lafon, now headed by Léa and Pierre Lafon, delivering both quantity and quality like 2022 before it, though in a somewhat fleshier, more extroverted style. While a few new cuvées have joined the range, for now, no big changes are afoot, and Dominque Lafon continues to be a guiding presence. Organic and biodynamic farming in the vineyards, barrel fermentation for whites, two winters' élevage on the lees for both colors and bottling under Diam technical corks (since 2013) continue to be the order of the day.(WK)"

Decanter (10/2020) 97/100 "This is produced from three of the four Faiveley parcels in the Clos de Bèze. After a fermentation largely with whole clusters and ageing in cask (70% new), the wine is deeply aromatic, showing an array of aromas that range from ripe cassis and plum fruit, to savoury and smoky notes with a mineral/saline edge. The texture of the wine is tannic, massively concentrated and firm, yet not unyielding. Superb."
Wine Advocate (01/2021) 93-96/100 "Aromas of cassis, plums, orange oil, smoked meats, loamy soil and black truffle preface Faiveley's 2019 Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru, a full-bodied, velvety and sumptuous wine that's elegantly textural and fleshy, with its broad-shouldered chassis of tannin cloaked in an ample core of succulent fruit. Long and complete, it's a terrific Clos de Bèze in the making. "
Vinous (12/2023) 96/100 "The 2019 Chambertin Clos-de-Bèze Grand Cru is already showing a little maturity on the nose. It has a perfumed bouquet with red cherries and crushed strawberry fruit, damp moss and a touch of oyster shell. It coheres in the glass and gains in terms of complexity. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, perfectly judged acidity, vivacious red fruit and a slightly viscous texture. Concentrated but not overpowering, this retains wonderful focus and lingers temptingly on the aftertaste. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting. (Drink between 2027-2055) "
Burghound (01/2021) 93-96/100 "A mildly toasty and mentholated nose offers up a wonderful array of spice elements on the notably floral red berry fruit and earth-inflected aromas. The sleek and satin-textured big-bodied flavors possess a highly sophisticated mouthfeel that exudes evident minerality on the youthfully austere and terrifically persistent finish. A brief summation would be cool and very classy. "
