Vin Malin "Sur le millésime 2009, William Fèvre nous offre un Chablis Les Preuses fruité et minéral, parfaitement équilibré, suivi d?une grande et belle allonge. A maturité entre 2012 et 2019.
Robe : Jaune doré. Nez : Parfums de fruits blancs très mûrs, de chêne, de poivre, note minérale. Bouche : Équilibré, notes florales et fruitées, belle tension précise, longue finale."

Very elegant, with minerality and acidity and a refreshing elegance, with a long delicate finish. The wine has just been bottled and needs time to develop in bottle. Winemaker Didier Séguier suggests the 2009s will be drinking well in 3-5 years since they have softer acidity than 2008. Certainly, this Preuses seemed very accessible already. Drink 2014-16 "

Vin Malin "Ce Château Figeac 1990 possède cette grande matière représentative de cette belle année. Ce premier grand cru classé de Saint-Émilion livre déjà aujourd?hui beaucoup de son potentiel mais saura en révéler d?autres dans quelque temps pour les plus patients. Un très grand flacon !
Robe : Intense, profonde, rubis-pourpre, léger tuilé. Nez : Profond, complexe, épicé, réglissé, cèdre. Bouche : Equilibré, complexe, grande matière, tanins fondus, riche, belle longueur."
R. Parker (02/1997) 94/100 "One of Bordeaux's most schizophrenic properties, as disappointing as Figeac's 1989 has turned out, the 1990 is fabulous. This property has not made a wine as rich as the 1990 since 1982. In contrast to the 1989, the 1990 is a great Figeac, potentially a richer, more complete and complex wine than the 1982. The 1990 exhibits a saturated dark purple color (somewhat atypical for Figeac), and a gorgeous nose of olives, fruitcake, jammy black fruits, minerals, and licorice. Medium to full-bodied, with gobs of glycerin-imbued, sweet, jammy fruit, this wine is nicely buttressed by moderate tannin and adequate acidity. Fleshy and rich, as well as elegant and complex, it is approachable because of the wine's sweet fruit, but it promises even more pleasure with 2-4 more years of bottle age; it will last for 20 years. I predict the 1990 Figeac will have one of the most exotic and compelling aromatic profiles of the 1990s. It is a terrific wine!"

This fleshy, full-bodied Pomerol reveals low acidity, a savory, broad mid-palate, and a decade of life ahead of it."

Already somewhat closed, it is a candidate for one of the longest lived wines of the vintage. Beautifully pure black currant and black cherry fruit interwoven with notions of cedar and wood are found in this medium to full-bodied, structured, masculine-styled St.-Julien. The attack reveals sweetness and softness, but then the wine shuts down. It will benefit from 2-3 years of cellaring, and should keep for 15 or more."
Berry Bros & Rudd 18/20 "Owner Jean-Hubert Delon has described Las Cases as `a First Growth for wine drinkers' and his 2007 has lived up royally to its billing. Arguably the best wine in the Médoc (yes, including the First Growths) its concentration, fleshiness and complexity are atypical for the vintage. Restrained blackcurrant, vanilla, minerals and coffee on the nose act as an amuse bouche for the multi-layered, incredibly elegant palate of intense cassis, dark chocolate and very, very fine tannins. Nipping at the heels of its 2005 and 2006, this seamless, focused Las Cases is, for 2007, nothing short of a masterpiece."
Decanter 18/20 "Huge colour, really impressive purple-black, intense, yet very fragrant and very pure fruit on the nose, great length and precision on the palate, great depth and finely grained tannins, a wine for the long term."
J.Robinson (04/2008) 16.5/20 "Mid crimson. Tingly fruit. 15% press wine, as in 1995. Good energy. Cuts off quite suddenly after a rich, sweet start. So soft with flattering black fruits on the front palate and then tough and tarry on the finish. A bit toughened up. Not fine or gentle. Very tough compared with the Clos du Marquis. Not in the spirit of the vintage but certainly in the spirit of Las Cases. An interesting comparison with that other wine which usually has no shortage of tannin, Ch Latour."

R.Parker (12/2012) 91/100 "The 2009 Almaviva is a blend of 73% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Carmenere, 4% Cabernet Franc and 1% Merlot and likewise, aged in new French oak for 18 months. It has impressive clarity on the nose with blackberry, briary and espresso aromas that are well defined, but not as intense as previous vintages. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, a powdery texture and crisp blackberry laced with espresso towards the firm, quite masculine, dry finish. It will need three of four years to coalesce and mellow. Drink 2015-2025. The collaboration between Baron Philippe de Rothschild and Vina Concha y Toro caused waves back in the late 1990s, a token of recognition for the progress of Chilean wines from one of Bordeaux?s grandees. Since the debut in 1998 it has achieved acclaim from around the world."
