Notes de dégustation
R.Parker (08/2014) 94/100 "Troplong Mondot's 2003 is a brilliant success in this vintage, largely because of the limestone soils and incredibly low yields. There are nearly 70 acres of vines in production, yields were tiny, and the harvest was early. Nevertheless, there is an opulence and youthfulness in this wine that suggest it has at least a decade of life left. A luxurious effort with high glycerin, loads of blueberry, mulberry, black currant, licorice and charcoal ember-like notes, full body, low acidity and sweet tannin, this beauty is close to full maturity and can be drunk now as well as over the next decade. Drink 2014-2024"
R.Parker (04/2005) 93-95/100 "Having exploded in quality, the 2003 is now much more massive, concentrated, and powerful than it was a year ago. Now one of the top right bank wines of the vintage, it exhibits a dense purple color as well as a bold, dramatic fragrance of melted chocolate, espresso roast, smoke, plums, blackberries, and black currants. Full-bodied and rich, with low acidity, high tannin, loads of glycerin, and massive, multilayered flavors, this brilliant effort (tasted on three separate occasions) reminded me of the prodigious 1990. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2022."
Wine Spectator (03/2006) 91/100 "Beautiful plum, berry and raspberry aromas follow through to a full-bodied palate, with refined tannins and a long, caressing finish. Very nicely done. Best after 2009."

R.Parker (08/2014) 89/100 "The second wine, the 2013 Le Petit Mouton, represents about one-fourth of the crop. Composed of 93% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7% Merlot, it is a ripe, tasty, round, easygoing effort with red and black currant, licorice and spice box notes as well as a soft finish. Drink it over the next 7-8 years."
Neal Martin (04/2014) 90-92 "The Le Petit Mouton has a huge majority of Cabernet Sauvignon at 93% - the highest percentage ever. The nose is quite floral and Margaux-like in style, simple but perfumed. The palate is crisp and structured on the entry with plenty of graphite-infused black fruit originating from the Cabernet, with a touch of dried blood towards the finish. This is a knockout wine from Philippe Dhalluin - real character and panache here."

Chapoutier "Robe : rouge profond.
R.Parker (2012) 89-92/100 "The 2011 Cote Rotie La Mordoree is an outstanding success in this more challenging vintage for Cote Rotie. Raspberry, spring flowers, licorice, forest floor and underbrush notes emerge from this attractive, medium-bodied, elegant, delicious Cote Rotie. It should be consumed during its first decade of life. "
J.Robinson (02/2012) 17.5/20 "Much deeper than most wines from this appellation - apart from Guigal's. Not very expressive aromatically. Juicy and with grainy tannins and some real savour. Somewhere halfway between Guigal and Jamet!"
Wine Advocate (J.Dunnuck) (12/2013) 94/100 "The 2011 Cote Rotie La Mordoree is an undeniable success in the vintage. Medium to full-bodied, concentrated and with solid mid-palate concentration, this forward, plump and straight up delicious Cote Rotie offers plenty of floral, bacon, dried herbs and raspberry-styled aromas and flavors. Enjoy it over the coming decade. Drink: 2013 - 2023"

Natalie Maclean (05/2008) 92/100 "A lusciously rich dessert wine with honeyed apricot notes."
Christopher Piper Wines "Recently rated 91 by Robert Parker the 2003 is a glorious Sauternes bursting with complex honeyed flavours of peaches with creme caramel. The acidity is well present assuring a good life ahead of it. Although approachable now this wine will definitely benefit from good cellaring. Drink 2008 to 2018."
Cuvelier Fauvarque "Nez : Abricot confit, coing, ananas, fumé, miel. Bouche : Ample, voluptueuse, longue, fraîche, liqueur très concentrée, fruits confits et miel. Robe : Jaune or."
Wine Spectator 92/100 "Aromas of toffee, honey and dried pineapple follow through to a full-bodied palate, with lots of sweetness and a long vanilla, apple and lightly spicy aftertaste. Thick and viscous. Goes on and on. Best after 2010."
